After college in Washington D.C. and a job in New York City that paid the bills but did little to inspire a passionate career path, I began my search for more meaningful work. While planning my own wedding, I discovered a love of special event planning and started coordinating weddings on the side while keeping my day job. I chose to follow my bliss full time in 1999 when I left the corporate world once and for all and started i-do Weddings & Events, Inc.
Today I marvel at the experiences and opportunities that leap of faith gave me. The chance to do something I love - working with couples and families as they celebrate one of the happiest days in life – is more fulfilling than I ever imagined. The talented professionals I work with, the variety of cultures I experience and the clients who treat me like family all add up to the best job I have ever had.
Over the years, my work has been featured in both local and national media including WCPO’s Smart Woman program, Good Morning Tri State, WLW Radio, Public Radio International, Fox 19 News, WLWT News 5, Cincinnati Wedding Magazine, Inspire Magazine, Style Me Pretty and the local and national editions of “the knot” Magazine. Angie’s List ranks i-do Weddings & Events as a top pick for special event planners, and local brides voted us a “Best of Weddings Pick” in 2007, 2008 and 2009 in a survey conducted by the knot.
However, the appreciation that means more to me than anything else comes directly from my clients and their families. Knowing my work allowed a bride and her mother to feel like a guest is the best reward of all. This service is my passion, and I am thrilled at the opportunity to share it with you.
