"Vendors are to weddings as contestants are to American Idol"

Cincinnati Wedding Magazine once asked me “What is the biggest mistake brides make when planning a wedding?” My answer: Hiring a wedding vendor because he or she seems “nice”. Most vendors are going to be nice to brides if they want to make the sale. It is important to remember that just because a person seems “nice” – that does not mean he is good at his chosen profession! Think about American Idol. Every contestant who auditions truly thinks she can sing. You and I know that is not the case.

The wedding/special event industry is no different. Some vendors are super stars, and there are some whose journey should end so they can pursue another more suitable calling.

A good friend and fellow wedding planner said it best: “We know things the vendors don’t want clients to know.” We know which vendors are professional and which ones are not. We know who shows up on time, who does what they say they will do and who provides a high level of customer service both before and after the event. We know the personalities behind the company because we work with these people on a regular basis.

drumsUsing this knowledge, we are able to match you with vendors that best complement your personality, vision and budget. Hiring the best team from the start will save you time, money and sleepless nights.
